ICCEE 2009 (International Conference on Civil and Environmental Engineering) |

Since the 1st ICCEE 2002 started as an inter-university exchange program, the conferences have been successfully organized every year at Hiroshima University. In the 7th ICCEE (2008), researchers and students from 6 countries (Australia, Canada, China, Japan, Korea, and USA) were participated to present about 50 technical papers on a broad civil engineering area. Also, three keynote lectures by eminent professors from University of California-Davis, National Cheng Kung University, and University of Queensland. A student workshop "Technical Approaches against Natural Disasters in Each Countries" was also successfully organized. For this year's conference (ICCEE 2009), we'd like to expand the international exchange to some new universities and to bring the up-to-date knowledge on the research and the education in the civil engineering ffields to all participants. We hope the conference will give the good opportunities for both researchers and students to achieve new breakthrough towards sustainable, eco- and ubiquitous-oriented, future civil society.
